Grape Varieties : Colombard

  Colombard is a white wine grape variety which was traditionally mainly used for the production of cognac, although it is becoming more popular as a varietal wine grape.

  It has met with success in the vineyards of California and Australia (where it is often paired with the ubiquitous chardonnay), producing reasonable quality white wine of an everyday-drinking style.
